OPERATING SCHEDULE FOR MOTZ PARK/CLINTON LAKES
Park will continue to operate from 8:00 am to sundown with Park Rangers on duty through Labor Day.
After Labor Day and the main entrance gate/beach house facilities will be locked until the following May. The park itself remains open throughout the year and visitors may use one of two gravel parking lots along DeWitt Road and walk into the park. Visitors must leave the park by sundown.
About the Park
Motz County park is a 42-acre park with 15 acres of water (Searles Lake) for boating, fishing, picnicking and swimming. Located near the corner of French and DeWitt Roads in Greenbush Township, the park officially open to the public on June 12, 2010.
Rules & Regulations
The park is open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily with free admission. Motz Park is completely handicap accessible. The park was featured in an article in the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association Professional Quarterly Magazine. Read the Story (PDF) for more information.
Amenities include a sand beach and swimming area, beach house with 7 unisex restrooms, paved walkways and parking lot, picnic tables, grills, fishing pier and a covered pavilion. A floating mobility chair is available upon request to a park ranger.
