Special Collection Events assist residents to recycle or properly dispose of hard to recycle household generated waste items. Items accepted at both events include household hazardous waste, farm and landscaping chemicals, motor oil & antifreeze, and electronic waste (computers, televisions, radios, etc.).
The
Spring Collection Event typically accepts electronics (fees apply to TVs & computer monitors only), household hazardous waste, and car & light truck tires (limits apply). The location will be given upon registration, please create an account on CivicRec
here prior to registering for an appointment. Residents are required to remain in their vehicle at all times.
Our Free for Fall events focus on accepting household hazardous waste, farm and landscaping chemicals, motor oil & antifreeze, unwanted medications (including needles, patches & inhalers), and electronics such as computer equipment, televisions, cellular phones, radios, etc. Fees do apply for televisions and computer monitors. Fees
There are fees for some items which are listed on our Fee Schedule (PDF), but most materials are collected for free. The events are also open to small businesses, however additional fees do apply for hazardous and electronic waste items. Disposal fees are waived for volunteers!
